Renaissance Girl Challenge

So I was just talking to Amy Munson
a multi-talented woman, who like me wants to try everything, and I was thinking it would be very cool to post a challenge for like minded souls to incorporate all their passions into one piece of art.
For example my piece might be a mixed media crazy quilt with silk ribbon embroidery, needle tatting, knitted accents, needle felting, vintage beading, and soldered charms.
If you're up for the challenge just post a response to let me know you're in, and if at least two or three of you Renaissance Souls are ready to play, I'll let Pokey Bolton of "Cloth Paper Scissors" in on it, I know she'd be happy to check out what we come up with!

Oh my, I have the deadline crazies & missed your post when it first came out! Is it too late to join the mixed media extravaganza? This is right in line with the stuff I am working on now...

Love your needle felting!!!

Hello-
This sounds like so much fun! I combine my marbling, book arts & metalsmithing into pieces. Will be getting out my fabric marbling in the next week, so would really like to join in on a "retro Rennaissance" piece. Thanks for the idea!

I want to play too! Is there an end date (dead line sounded too , ummm...too much like The End)? I think mine will be fabric, applique, knitting, crochet, beading,
glass(?),paint, paper and rusty stuff...sounds like my Aunt Mabel is in town!

Is there a size requirement/limit? I know with the deadline being so soon (relatively speaking) it can't be too big, but.... :) Thank you for inviting me!

Hey Andi,
No size requirement or limits, and the deadline is flexible, we'll figure out what works for folks. If August 1st is too soon we can go for the end of August - I know summer is busy. So glad you're playing!!

Welcome Carol!

Sure, count me in...paper, fabric, beads, pressed flowers, dangles, cloth...maybe everything except the kitchen sink.

Take time to play, create, and have fun!

Here is the silly question of the day but maybe someone else has it and doesn't want to ask. Are we saving photos until the deadline or should we be sharing our efforts as we complete them?
